Overcoming the Running Blues

This was my first real run since the launch of GTRC. I haven’t really been feelin’ it as far as running goes. I guess you could say I’ve been suffering from the running blues. Blah. The extent of my running, as of late, has included doing sprints with my Strength & Conditioning class at the gym. Haven’t gone more than 1.5 miles all month.

I finally snapped out of the aforementioned blues today and logged 2.36 miles at a comfortable pace. It wasn’t fast, but I’ll take it!

First Run, Dawn Patrol

First Grateful Tread run is in the can.  Did a loop around Lake Merritt as the sun was coming up.  It was cold, lungs hurt, but my legs felt OK.  Lookin’ forward to getting better at this.
